C5 Studios’ After-School Arts Program (ASAP) is back for the 2026/27 school year! This popular and unique program provides children aged 6-12 with engaging arts, crafts, storytelling, movement and nature connection-based activities during after school hours. Our After School Arts Program runs in 4 week blocks, with registration for subsequent blocks opening soon after the start date of the previous block. Calling all fourth graders and their families! A free pass is available to help eligible students and their families explore participating California State Parks. Get outside, discover something new, and enjoy California's incredible public lands!

Bishop Park Pool Late Season Public Swim is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday 5:30pm - 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm - 4pm.

C5 Studios’ Little Sparrows invite children and families to join our 8-week program this fall. Each session will have morning circle time (songs, poetry, movement, etc…) free play, wanders, art & crafts, storytelling, shared meals and community contribution. Applications are open for children 2.5-7 years old (who are potty independent or close to becoming so) to attend on their own as drop-off enrollment for forest school mornings. Session begins September 15.

Looking for a place to play, learn, and connect with other local families? Play Lounge LLC has Mama Nights on Mondays from 6pm - 9pm and Donuts with Dad on Saturdays from 10:30am - 12pm.

Practice Dance Sing Sew Visit and Learn on Tuesday and Thursday at AkaMya Culture Group. All ages, skill levels and people are welcome.

The Inyo County Elections office is now accepting applications for the Student Poll Worker Program for qualified students to serve as precinct workers on Election Day. By signing up, students will have a chance to assist our public with one of their basic rights as a citizen – the right to vote! Qualifications • Be 16 years of age at the time of the election. • Have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. • Submit a completed student poll worker application. • Attend one of the two mandatory trainings: ---Independence- Oct 15th, 2026 ---Bishop- Oct 16th, 2026 Find full details in the Inyo County Student Poll Worker Program document. Eastside Student Center is moving to 205 N. Fowler and open Thursday, August 13, 2026! After school drop-in open to 7th – 12th grades. Free space to spend time afterschool. Inyo County Behavioral Health offers counseling and other support to Mothers in Recovery, including a Wednesday group from 10:30am - 12pm. Reach out to Sheila Turner in the Perinatal Program at 760-873-4923 to enroll in the program (not available for drop-ins).

Call Inyo County First 5 to register for this 8-week parenting class to learn about child development, effective communication, positive discipline, routines, and emotional support. Caregivers who complete all sessions receive a $100 gift card!
